I am originally from Bedford and I started composing at Bedford Modern School, though I was not studying music or learning an instrument. I wrote my first symphony in 1972 and I have been writing them ever since. A few have been performed, but all exist n digital form thanks to Sibelius software, which I have been using since 1994. I was a music librarian in Putney and then for many years in Staffordshire, where I was at one time responsible for the largest and busiest CD lending service in the country and one of the largest libraries of vocal and orchestral sets. From 2007 I was District Manager of libraries in Stafford. I am now a composer and historical researcher.
